a r a i g n é e the quiet rustlings came from one thing, and one thing only. a small spider crawling along the edges of the grass. the movements were slow and collected. she was buying her time. slowly making her way forward. her destination was the cave just ahead. after a moments pause of hearing absolutely nothing, she scuttled forward more quickly. eventually her body went through a heating faze, where her entire body lengthened and her mind slipped from one thought to the next. a slow, soft exhale ensued and a small black cat was left in the spider's place. her minuscule movements were the reason her elegance was laid to it's extreme. her motive;s were clear. she believed she was alone, and knew full well she was delving into enemy territory. more commonly known as her old tribe's land.
araignée looked about her cautiously, narrowing yellow eyes fixated on every movement. then, without hesitation, she sprang forward, her movements quiet, as she sprinted the remainder of the way into the cave. then suddenly.. she was gone. in her place her original form the spider remained, crawling upwards from the wall, disappearing into the darkness. a grim smile would have been seen on her face had she been in her true form. however now she was simply lying in wait for the unsuspecting victim of hers would come into play. oh, how she yearned for it.

A S P E N The morning frost on the leaves was melting, its liquid dew sticking to the lynx's paws, dampening them enough to act as a magnet for dirt and grime. Aspen didn't mind the slimy, and icky stuff like most she cats. In fact, her cat embraced it, but her Lynx was not as ecstatic. In her shift form, she felt out of place. The urge to run, climb, hunt, anything was overwhelming, and it was like her body was to big for her brain. She didn't shift much, due to her shifts size, but now that she had escaped from camp, and away from those pesky kits, she was determined to get used to it. And what better way that a man hunt?
Aspen had heard the elders talking about a fearsome cat name Araignee, who's shift was a teeny tiny spider. At the mention of it, Aspen had noticed that the camp was a bit tense. Now that she thought about it, they were expecting the cowardly spider to come and attack them. The lynx snorted, her ears back in disgust. The tribe was just as cowardly, fearing a spider. The lynx's paws stomped across the ground, the dirt covered floor slowly transforming into rock. She opened her mouth, leaning down to lap the cool water, when an unfamiliar scent danced across the roof of her mouth. Instantly, the lynx lifted her head, the stub of a tail she had twitching in suspense of what was to come.

a r a i g n é e she could hear them. smell them. the steps that took their time through the swampy ground, squelching in the water and making disgusting sounds. she wasn't even afraid. didn't even suspect. the lynx's tongue could lap the water, and yet there was no sign of fear. however, something had struck a cord in the mighty shifter. because just when the spider had slowly moved from her hiding spot, she'd noticed the lynx's sudden stiffening. her scent had been caught, and a little late at that. when she stopped dead, her body holding very little breath and movement, she awaited her chance. staying very well hidden in the shadows, her spindly legs carried her cautiously and silently along the wall. her fangs unleashing from their holds, sparkling with the poison lingering within.
however she settled them back within her mouth, crawling around to see the feline more clearly, yet not enough that she was in any direct danger of being seen. the spider stood still then, her legs ceasing movement, and her eyes taking in and calculating her movements. her prey had been caught. snagged in her web of trickery. unsuspecting. the smile that waited along araignée's eyes twinkled in delight. that's when she sprang, legs bunching as she bounced off of the wall and into the fur of the beast. her weight would probably not have affected someone as large as the lynx, but one never knew. and after a few sharp movements, she'd crawled quickly to the lynx's head, fangs flashing as she attempted to sink them into her ear.
a low hiss ensued from her mouth, as she slyly whispered a seductive warning. " looking for me, are we? "

A S P E N
looking for me, are we? the tone of the voice sent shivers through her body. For a split second, she thought it could be a ghost, or even a god, but the scent hit her stronger than ever, and she realized it was one of her kind. Like a switch being turned on, she felt the shifters weight on her ear. Her first instinct was to run, and run she did.
Alas, she was only running for a split few seconds, before her ears were clogged with ice cold liquid, and her air was replaced by water. She thrashed about, more from the shock of the chilly water than the shifter. It was a few moments before she crawled to the bank, chilled to the bone. The lynx's bones retracted, slowly molding back into her normal form. Her tail lengthened, and her fangs slipped back into her mouth. The shivering nanny stood and shook out her fur, much like a dog, licking her chest furiously. Her brain gears started to move, and she slowly creeped over to the mouth of the cave, basking in the warm morning light. Her ears hung low, and her fur clung to her body, making her feel enclosed. She sat their for multiple moments, before she got up and faced whoever had invaded her personal space.
OOC sorry or the short post, about to eat dinner Dx

a r a i g n é e the reaction was brilliant. other than the fact they were plunged into the water, the icy cold sending seizing pain through the shifter's body as her spider form took in great gobs of liquid as a side-effect of clinging desperately to the lynx's pelt. with a forceful lunge, her bones grew larger and her spider-like body slowly shifted into that of a cat. once more she stood sheathed in a hard black coating, how soaked with water. however she fervently hauled herself out of the water, and once she had, the water slid off her fur like a waterfall, the droplets dancing off her pelt quickly and quietly, leaving a small puddle at her feet, where she flicked them in frustration. and you could tell she was mad, because her body whirled around, sharp yellow eyes narrowed and furious.
" the nerve of you, plunging into the water. NEVER have i seen such immaturity. ugh! " she said, her voice ceasing to be as dramatic as could be possible. she lifted a paw and drew her tongue over it hastily, before she stalked forward, eyes shifting from dangerous, to murderous. the tainted scar along her right flank was visible, marring her appearance with a fresh new flavour. frightening. as the fur along her spine rose in a dramatic sweep, her long claws flexing outward as she hissed repeatedly, fangs showing on more than one occasion as her tail snaked around and lit up with puffs of fur. " how dare you. come looking for me and decide it's okay to throw me in the water. " she spat, her voice cutting out neatly at the end when she made the same spitting noise that scared kittens made when intruded by another.
however she wasn't scare. oh no, she was unbelievably angry. she narrowed her eyes, now within a few feet of the lynx, whom had shifted into her true form. a silvery cat with piercing blue eyes. the look of disgust that riddled araignée's mouth was evident. she didn't think anything about this feline.

A S P E N [style= BORDER-LEFT: #4a5644 4px dotted; WIDTH: 350px; HEIGHT: 320px; BORDER-RIGHT: #4a5644 4px dotted; overflow; auto;]Aspen shook her head, and chuckled at the cats words. She was taken aback by how different she looked. The she cats yellow eyes aflame, and man if looks could kill, Aspen would be six feet under. The cats coat silken, coated with water that slid right off. Aspen curled her lip and let out a yowl, her teeth flashing as she stood and arched her back, claws sheathing and eyes locked on to the yellow orbs in front of her. "It's fair. I'm sure you've fought dirty a couple of times." Aspen paused to let out a tiny chuckled, her eyes never once leaving the black agressor. "But, I'm just going of you're reputation." she hissed, stray droplets falling near her mouth, and flying off in her spray. The she cat was older than her, by a year or so. And there was no denying the cats beauty, but, Aspen wasn't seeking good quality's, she was here to track down and catch the agressor named Araignee. Aspen let her tongue swipe over he pink nose, in attempt to wipe away the droplets that tickled her. Thinking about it, Aspen didn't know what she was to do with the cat once she was finished, if she was victorious. There was no telling if Aspen would come out alive, but now wasn't the time to think about that.

a r a i g n é e the way the other feline spoke was that of aggression, just the same as herself. however, by the words she spoke, and the ideal to keep her eyes on the black figure, araignée smiled widely, her face lighting up with a sinister smile. " reputation? going by my reputation? hah, i didn't think these sad souls in your tribe would take two looks at me. they always thought i was.. harmless.. " her voice ended in a hiss, emphasizing her speech. one might almost thing she were a snake, breaching borders and sneaking around. but no, a spider she was, and a spider she would be. she crept forward a step, lowering her head.
" you're scared, aren't you? terrified of what i might do to you? you should be. " her cruel, sardonic voice snaked out to torment her victim. she sneered then, her tail twirling in the air as she progressed towards the feline, standing lightly on her feet. she was sly, nimble, and intelligent. she was no idiot. sometimes.. you had to have a brain in order to kill your prey. " even the smallest of opponents can kill, sweetie. i'll try to make your death as painless as i can. " she said, her voice like acid. " i don't know how you can stand it. living with those cats that just use you for sex and pleasure. oh, they want kits do they? well, that's a lie. " she said coldly, then stood still, her body utterly silent.
she grinned coldly. her eyes like daggers.

It hurt, to actually here these words coming from another. This femmy, was like Aspen in a way. She guessed that she probably despised the tribe and its religion, even more than Aspen, and she held just a tad bit of respect in her heart for the cat. Standing up for herself. If any male just stumbled along and saw that Aspen would look like a treat, she might end up just like the she-cat in front of her.Aspen sighed, and lowered her head to match the cat, her sigh turning into a snarl of frustration. "I don't like, no, a hate it! I don't enjoy the fact I'm going to be some male's play toy!" Aspen was heaving, controlling her breaths just enough for her to calm down. "Now just shut up and fight me already!" With these words in her mouth, she lunged. It wasn't the smartest move, considering she was moving blindly, out of fury. The cat was humiliating her for something Aspen already despised.

a r a i g n é e the sinister smirk playing across her lips as the evil black cat heard and listened to the angry feline's retorts. she obviously felt the same way, yet she had a distinct trust for her tribe that made it obvious that she wasn't about to go leaving them any time soon. though the words that came next had the she-cat looking at her in a mock expression of surprise. " fight you? " she said, just as she'd leapt forwards to harm her. scarcely moving, the nimble she-cat stepped lightly out of the way, prancing off to the side to dodge the other feline's attack. then, whilst her back was turned, araignée disappeared. her bones had melded into tiny forms, eight legs appeared from her body, and her head shrunk and her body became unbelievably tiny. her tiny frame had scuttled off into the grass.
and by now, was scaling the nearest tree and blending into the bark. her spider-like body now stood, lying in wait. she had already edged herself to the branch above the she-cat, and was now simply waiting. " why would you want to kill me? " she hissed faintly, quietly, so as to hopefully not give away her position. she had the sneakiest of smiles on her face, and she stood still. not betraying any movement, not even poising to strike.

Though to her surprise, no one was there. Aspen looked about, her anger and frustration evident in her eyes. Damn it! she mentally hissed. With hesitation, her body grew larger and the lynx she was known for stalked forward, sniffing the air for something, someone. "Wimp, were are you?" she muttered under her breath. At any moment, she could die, from that cowardly spiders bite, but she hadn't keeled over yet, so that was a good sign. Aspen stuck her head high in the air, opening her mouth and drinking in all the scents. None. Absolutely nothing, not a clue. Aspen roared in anger, swatting a pebble and watching it roll away into the water. Aspen didn't intend on killing the agressor, maybe she was going to act like it to be all tough, but surely the spider could have called her out on that bluff. For the next few minutes, Aspen had bean keeping her mouth open, in hopes of catching the scent of her. But no, nothing. Aspen sighed in defeat, never being a patient kitty, and sat on her legs, putting her hands to her chest. "You coward, come out!" she seethed, raising her head and looking about.

a r a i g n é e as the lynx took hold of the feline, araignée snickered through the trees, a silvery thread the only thing holding her from falling to the ground. her elegant body slipped and dangled from it, her back legs holding onto the thread, her eyes glittering with malice. the opposer was dubbing her a coward, and a wimp? the laughter thrumming through araignée's senses had her slowly dropping down, and onto the end of the lynx's short tail. with a sneer, the spider crawled forwards, then flashed her teeth. however nothing came of it, because she simply shifted back into her feline form, glossy black fur catching the light, and making in shimmer. then the black cat slid up to the lynx's shoulders, purring sarcastically.
as she draped herself across the larger feline's body, yawning widely and stretching herself out." oh, you don't really mean all those things, do you? you could never hurt me, girlie. " she purred, her voice like silk, yet holding all of the poisonous liquid that she so despriately wanted to unleash. she hissed slowly under her breath. " what are you going to do with me? " she said, a sneer tainting her voice.

A S P E N [style= BORDER-LEFT: #4a5644 4px dotted; WIDTH: 350px; HEIGHT: 320px; BORDER-RIGHT: #4a5644 4px dotted; overflow; auto;]The moment she felt the feline on her back, she whirled, but not enough to waver the cat hanging over her back like a rag. Aspen sighed, sitting down, taking in the she cats words, and shook her head. "I don't know." she admitted, her heart heavy with dispointment. She didn't even know what she was doing, or what she was trying to prove. It was so complicated. She wanted so badly to show the tribe that females were just as strong ad fit for the job, ye knew she would never get anywhere with it. These cats minds, were wound so tight around the old ways, that there was no way of loosening their hold for even a little bit. And all this time, Aspen knew this. But she had a small flicker of hope, that little spark that whispered in her ear that she could change them, that she could rewrite the future for th nex generation of females. When news came around of this famous attacker, she couldn't help but get her hopes high. Now, as the agressor clearly didn't see her as a threat, she felt small and like the femme everyone thought her to be. Emotion filling every vowel, every slip of the tongue, "Look..you, being an agressorand all, must know how much it sucks to be a female in the tribe. "she sighed again, forcing all the anger and frustration from her day out into the world. How she wished she could follow Araignee, into the deep dark mysterious world of being an agressor. "You have no idea, how much I want to follow you."

the swirling motion had the black she-cat clenching her claws into the lynx's back, hissing faintly in her annoyance.then the nauseating wave of emotion that flooded araignée's senses had her sliding gently off of aspen's back. when she landed neatly on her paws, stretching forward and sighing audibly with the tiny little cracks that overcame her, she flexed her claws into the mud and dragged herself forward, before turning curtly to see that the lynx was still droning on about how she wanted to leave the tribe and.. be like her?! with that startling remark, the feline hissed. " being a female in the tribe meant i had to produce kittens. i was made an outcast before they found out i couldn't. " she said, then allowed her long tail to swish elegantly around her. " i never had to deal with mewling kits begging for milk. i was able to watch from afar. i was never around when the men were picking their next toy. " she said, her voice thick with venom. then she narrowed her eyes and shook her head.
" and to follow me. means you defy all laws of the tribe. to ignore the people who want you as their plaything, to abuse and rape whenever they please. it means you live for the thrill of sinking your claws into passers-by, living on the fringes of life and never being allowed a moments rest. " she said, her voice completely honest and full of truth. you could see it now, the wear and tear on the elegant she-cat. her eyes were always full of hatred, her body tensed occasionally and ready to bolt at any given moment. " the tribe will eventually try and hunt you down. and if they don't it means they're terrified of you. do you really want that? " she said, her voice raising in a threat.
however she simply turned her back and pounced away, her lithe body melting into the leafy greenery, her shining eyes the only visible thing. the cut off squeal of a mouse, followed by the growl of delight the last thing araignée said.
"Words are this color!" These are thoughts!
