Welcome to Mountains of Elaysha. Wondering how this place came to be? Well sit down and ill tell your our story.
Well it started a little over 10 years ago. It was a nice bright sunny day when a girl was bitten by a wolf. Her parents freaked when they found their daughter in the woods behind their house, blood soaking the snow laden floor around her. She was still alive but one of her arms had marks from a wolf. She was rushed to the hospital and soon she came down with the "flu". Little did they know though that this flu was nothing they had ever seen before, they did not think to take her to the doctor since she didn't seem deathly ill but soon the girl herself knew it was something more. By the second night, she went out into the woods, feeling like the wolf that bit her was calling to her, asking her to join it in the woods. She stood there for a few minutes, her body racking from the cold. Soon she doubled over, her muscles screaming and her whole body changing.
Within the next few moments her body changed in a way which no other humans ever had. She was no longer a girl but a wolf. Her clothes lay shattered on the ground and in the middle of the chaos stood a lone white wolf with the girls blue eyes. Within them you could see the human which she was, the humanity was plain to see yet as she turned away, no one knew what was about to hit their homes. Within the next ten years of that girl turning, several more would be bitten and the girl who first turned would teach each new shapeshifter that what they were was to be kept secret, they couldn't risk someone finding out about them and having their whole pack used as science projects.
But it was only about a year ago that the virus which first infected them changed. One of the newer wolves bit a young boy and as they waited for him to change, they knew that something was wrong. It took him longer to change and his smell was just not right. When he finally did change all the wolves kept away from him. When the summer came, they all sat around the house they occupied and talked about the new shape-shifter. What had went wrong, what was going on? How could one of the humans they bit turn into a lynx instead of a wolf? Now they all knew that somehow you could be changed to other species though now it was usual that you turned into whichever you were bitten by.
Now these are different than the stories about werewolves and such. These turn into the actual animal and during their time as a wolf or lynx, they take on their natural instincts and intellect. They only turn when the cold reaches their body and lowers their temperatures. When they are first changed, its hard to not change even with the slightest difference in temperature. As time goes on, its slightly easier to control but when the weather gets too cold, you can not resist the urge to change. There is rumor of a cure, one that will no longer require your body to change into a different form but all anyone seems to know is that it can be very deadly and the odds of surviving are dim.
So in a land where nothing seems to be as you thought it was, will you be bitten or will you stay blind to the world around you?
This site is very much new and as you can see not 100% finished. At this moment I am looking for moderaters who know proboards and can help with maintenance. Will hopefully be fully finished in a few days. ^_^
