No matter what your dream is, be it to catch the biggest prey anyone has seen or to just be able to swim, Reko respects it. He knows what it is like to not reach your dream. With any aid he could give Reko would try to help with a cats goal if they need him.
Reko will try his hardest at any task and never complete any job carelessly no matter how insignificant. If someone tells him a duty that must be done Reko is on it as soon as possible.
Even though he does the jobs he is told this does not mean he agrees with every task he completes but the problem is he never speaks up. No one would know if he did not want to do a job because he does not have the nerve to stand against anyone. Of course he always wishes he had the guts to do what he wants. Sometimes he even acts out what he would do in his head. He plans every move he would make and even guess how the other cat would react. If he was to say what is on his mind he would have to be with either a small amount of cats or with only one. Also it would have to be with someone he at least knew a small bit already. If he ever gained the guts to speak his mind the result is unknown.
The lack of nerve may have derived from his earlier years when his brother always told him what to do. With every time Reko's brother forced him to do something it molded Reko into a follower more than a leader. Reko may want to be that Hero, the one who runs across the battle field with the rest of his tribe following but he may be to far gone. He might be to much of a follower to ever lead to ever be that hero. Yet to Reko there is always the hope. He always looks at the hope even with the smallest bit.
There is one thing in the tribes ways that sticks out to Reko. The way the prey shifter are treated gets Reko's fur to stand. He believes, if they were given a chance, they could catch more prey for the tribe than they could provide. Even if they are just sent out and if they don't catch anything then they will have to provide that would be better than never having a chance.
Reko has a mild case of SPD. While in his shift form he becomes more courageous and daring. This disorder might be his only chance to reach out of his normal character. He is much more likely to take charge when in shift form. This disorder, due to Reko's younger age, could grow from mild to severe at any time or it may stay mild forever.
HISTORY
With just a brother,Kemp ,Reko began his life. Thier mother had died once giving birth to them. Then their father did not want a thing to do with these pesky kits. Without their parents to be there they looked to eat other for support. Of course there were the nannies for them but the connection was never truly felt with those cats.
The earliest years are where Reko's aspirations for his future began. Kemp and Reko always played out the stories they were told and they both wanted to be the hero every time. The strong one, the brave one, the one who everyone looked up to, The Hero. Kemp was the bigger of the brothers and ended up as the hero in their games more than not. Every once and a while he would let Reko be the hero but not in any of the fun stories.
Whenever anyone would address the two of them it was Kemp and Reko. Not once did Reko ever hear Reko and Kemp for everyone looked at Kemp as the stronger, the bigger and the better of the two. Yet not once had they given Reko a chance to show what he had on the inside.
Reaching his rank was Reko's chance. He would be able to really show off his skills. He felt that he could catch more prey, and patrol better than his brother and finally, in just two months, he would prove himself. He would BE the hero instead of his brother letting him.
Though this goal was cut off when Reko got the news he was choosen to be a priest. A priest? That's the exact opposite of his dreams. Sit around and pray or help others pray was what he thought a priest's job was. He would never hope to show how he could be better than his bother now. But the gods would not put him on the wrong path, right?
To wrap it all up Reko's mentor was practically already on death's bed. He had gotten the sickness of old age and only had a short while left. Reko tried his best with his new rank spending every minute learning with his mentor. He had to get all the information he could to know what he had to do. Reko's mentor died in four weeks. This was a remarkable time to last for the condition that he was in but not even close to enough time for Reko to learn everything he needed.
Now on his own Reko is trying his hardest to be what the gods told him he is, yet in the month he has been a priest no sign or message or vision from the gods has come to him. If they really where up there would they abandon him when he really needs guidance? With no help or even a sign of compassion for him Reko is beginning to lose faith in his gods. Even with a fading faith Reko keeps trying to show he can be good at at least the job he is assasigned and continues to hope, with the little he has left, for the gods wisdom.
Ever since Reko became a Priest his brother has been growing away from him. Sometimes it seems to Reko that Kemp is avoiding him. Reko has tried to reconnect with his brother again but all attempts have failed. The reason, be it jealousy, arrogance or even intimadation, is still unknown.
