Hello, so um, I'm new and I have a tiny question regarding Patron Gods. I'm not sure if I may of over looked it, or if it simply was not written down. Regarding Patron Gods, does the god have to be the same gender as the cat it speaks to? Or can for example,
Vulcanrin be the patron god to a female feline? or Helsia be the patron god to a male feline?
I just want to know if it's simply possible? Thank you!

Just because I'm a pet, it doesn't mean I don't know the lore.

I don't think they have to be same gender. Just whichever one you think will fit your character. But I'll wait til an older member confirms that. Lol.

They definitely don't have to be the same gender. In my opinion, it only matters what the cat believes in, not the gender.

as it has been said, no there is no limit on whether or not a patron god must match the gender of the feline. usually a gender will be more inclined to have a patron god of the same gender (exceptions being astrophia and erosate), but there is nothing stopping a female from worshiping vulcanrin or a male worshiping helsia...it's just not as heard of and might not be fully accepted - in the tribe at least. after all, females have a very strict role in the tribe and showing a favor for a god like vulcanrin might make them look less desirable and might put their position in the tribe at some risk.
